Game seven of the NBA Finals comes down to the final seconds, with two (possibly intentional) mental mistakes by Pistons players being the difference in a 92-91 upset win for the Syracuse Nationals, with Dolph Schayes leading the way. Pistons star George Yardley is one of many people who considered the series potentially tainted by organized crime involvement via disgraced former Pistons player Jack Molinas.

Brook Lopez becomes the all-time leading scorer in Nets franchise history, surpassing Buck Williams with his 10,441st point during a 114-105 loss to the Celtics. It turns out to be Lopez’s final game in a Nets uniform, as he’s traded to the Lakers in the subsequent offseason.

The Pistons play their final home game at the Palace of Auburn Hills, a 105-101 loss to the Wizards. The Pistons would begin play at the Little Caesars Arena in the ’17-’18 season.
