The Holiday siblings make history; Art Williams sets a Rockets assists record; Jamaal Wilkes’ Lakers jersey is retired

2019

Aaron, Jrue, and Justin Holiday become the first trio of siblings to appear in the same NBA game, when Jrue’s Pelicans defeat Aaron and Justin’s Pacers, 120-98. Aaron leads all scorers in the game with 25 points, while Jrue finishes with 20 points and seven assists, and Justin is held scoreless off the bench. The trio have suited up in the same game three more times since, most recently in November of 2022.


1968

Art Williams sets the Rockets single game franchise record with 22 assists in a 136-126 victory over the Suns. The mark has since been tied by Allen Leavell in 1983.

1990

John Henson is born in Greensboro, North Carolina. His father, Matt, played basketball at Norfolk State University.

2012

Jamaal Wilkes has his jersey #52 retired by the Lakers. Wilkes spent eight seasons with the franchise, making two All-Star teams and contributing to two championships.

2023

A 128-122 loss to the Celtics is a 28th consecutive defeat for the Pistons, which ties the NBA losing streak record, originally set by the 76ers across the ’14-’15 and ’15-’16 seasons. Detroit would break the streak two days later with a victory over the Raptors.
